Sarah Zad here! Thank you for attending the Ranting & Raving launch at Four Quarters! R&R is my community arts non profit which I’ve dreamt of launching for many years – 12 years (coincidentally my lucky number) after my first charity initiative honouring my Syrian heritage, Sing for Syria.

It was important to me to launch R&R within the lunar year of the Dragon, R&R’s mascot, to represent strength, misinterpretation, overcoming oppression, and a bit of magic!

Ranting & Raving will be a series of collaborative, creative workshops for refugees and people on the move (though anyone is welcome!) to benefit a different grassroots group or smaller NGO each month, for example, Reclaim the Sea and Now You See Me Moria. Workshops will be both online and in-person, commencing in March.

I’ll be developing the project until then and will be posting details about the workshops and how to get involved on this site. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with any questions or to express your interest either as a participant or collaborator!

Ticket sales and donations from the launch event will be going towards R&R’s operational and administrative costs, with any extra funds donated to the groups R&R will be supporting!
